CHAMBORD Espresso maker, stove top
6 cup, 0.36 l, 12 oz, stainless steel
Product Description
Do it like the Italians - with the BODUM stove top Espresso Maker CHAMBORD you can brew a delicious espresso in a practical, stylish way and without paying the price of an expensive espresso machine. Have breakfast or that well deserve coffee break with the user friendly Espresso Maker CHAMBORD which creates great tasting espresso in no time!
All you have to do is pour fresh water in the water container up to the MAX mark, insert the funnel-shaped filter and fill it with fine ground coffee, tighten the lower and the upper container and put it on the stove, regardless of its type. As the water starts to boil, the steam creates the exact needed pressure to gradually force through the ground coffee beans, reaching the upper container. And voila, your perfect espresso is ready. The flavors from the ground coffee are efficiently extracted resulting in a exceptionally strong and rich brew. The safety valve provides the necessary release if the pressure gets too high, while the silicone gasket ensures a tightly closed unit and allows for pressure to safely build up in the lower section.
The mirror-polished stainless steel construction of the pot features the typical CHAMBORD design. The water container is broader than the ornate slim upper part with the distinctive CHAMBORD domed lid and knob on top. The retro handle is made of black Bakelite, and is heat resistant and durable. Coming in a 3 cup and 6 cup version, all parts are dishwasher safe.
Instructions for use
USAGE - INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
How can I use it?
1. Pour water in the water container up to the MAX mark.
2. Insert the funnel-shaped metal filter into the water container.
3. Add fine ground coffee.
4. Tighten the upper part (which has a second metal filter and a silicone gasket at the bottom) onto the water container.
6. Place the Espresso maker on a heat source making sure that the handle is not directly over heat.
Wait - the water is brought to boiling point, until the so-formed steam reaches a high enough pressure to gradually force its way through the ground coffee, and pass through to the upper chamber.
7. As soon as all of the espresso has reached the upper part, you will hear a sputtering sound.
8. This sound is the sign that the coffee is in the upper chamber and ready to serve!
9. Pour the coffee directly from the upper chamber - enjoy a perfect cup of espresso!
TIP: Grinding Chart
What kind of ground coffee do I need?
Drip coffee makers (flat bottomed filters) Medium
Drip coffee makers (cone filters) Fine
Plunger pot / French press Coarse
Percolator Coarse
Espresso machines (pump or steam) Extra fine
Espresso mocha pots Fine
Vacuum coffee pot Coarse
Coarse: Very distinct particles of coffee. Like heavy-grained kosher salt. Downright chunky. (C-Mill, Antigua)
Medium: Gritty, like coarse sand. (C-Mill, Antigua)
Fine: Smoother to the touch, a little finer than granular sugar or table salt. (Antigua)
Extra fine: Finer than sugar, but not quite powdered. Grains should still be discernible to the touch. (Antigua)
Turkish: Powdered, like flour. Most inexpensive (blade) grinders will be unable to grind this finely. (Antigua)
